JOB DESCRIPTION

Executes event set-up and tear-down functions to ensure guests specifications are adhered to and that events run smoothly and efficiently.

DEPARTMENT: Building and Grounds
POSITION: Setup + Teardown Team Member
REPORTS TO: Setup + Teardown Team Leader
LENGTH OF COMMITMENT: 6 mo, minimum

RESPONSIBILITIES + DUTIES

1. Perform all set-up, tear down and refresh event tasks
2. Set-up and tear down including: risers, chairs, tables, staging, carpet squares, pipe and drape and other items as needed for events at facility
3. Responsible for advising maintenance of repairs and replacements necessary in assigned areas
4. Lifting requirement of 75 lbs minimum
5. Handle folding chairs, stacking chairs, tables of various shapes and sizes, drapery and skirting
6. Adequately perform post-event cleanup and trash removal
7. Perform additional duties as needed

Faithful attendance is important for success in any endeavor. Absences are excused for reasons such as work, out of town, and sickness, but whatever the reason, you must contact the team leader in advance. With the exception of unforeseen circumstances, a minimum 24-hour notice is expected. Chronic absenteeism will result in suspension from the team.

I am committing myself as a volunteer of Calvary Church for the length of time listed in my job description. I promise to abide by the guidelines and instructions. If at any time I am unable to fulfill my commitment, I will communicate this to my leader and take a leave of absence.
